Dr Ellsworth Wareham is 101-year-old Californian heart surgeon who only retired five years ago. The sprightly centenarian hasn’t even stopped driving, despite his age! He claims that his joints don’t give him any problems, that his balance is still good, that his hands are still steady and he doesn’t even have to walk with a cane.
Dr Wareham says his vegan diet and lifestyle have kept his health as good as it is, despite his advanced years. He says that he never really enjoyed animal products, so adopting a vegan diet wasn’t difficult for him. In fact, he claims it was “a very easy thing”. He may well be living proof that a vegan diet is the healthiest way to eat.
The 101-year-old heart surgeon says:
“I don’t have any trouble with my joints, my hands are steady, my balance is good, I don’t have to walk with a cane.”
“[I have] never cared for animal products, [and becoming vegan was] a very easy thing.”
“People associate age with wisdom and I think that’s probably unscientific.”
